What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to be aware of the body, emotions, and mind with a presence of kindness and gentleness. The daily practice of mindfulness results in being less reactive to life’s situations and less overwhelmed by the experiences we have. There are contemplative practices that date back thousands of years rooted in Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and many other traditions; as well as groundbreaking scientific research that shows the healing capacities of these simple yet profound tools of well being.
