*What happens in the Session*
The room/space is prepared by first cleansing the space by smudging. A sage smudging stick is used. Medicinal smokes such as sage have powerful antimicrobial and antibacterial qualities, can improve mood and cognition, can serve as an insect repellent, and can even help with sleep quality by easing insomnia.
Spiritually speaking, burning sage is can ward off negativity and toxicity, and inviting more positivity to enter the space.
Once the space has been cleansed, aromatherapy candles are lit. Scents most frequently are Lavender, Vanilla, Sandalwood and Bergamot.
While the fragrance from the candles drifts to every area of the room, healing music is played, to set the ambience for a relaxation session. Sound healing involves using sound vibrations to relax your mind and body. During session, solfeggio frequencies are played, most commonly 528Hz and 963Hz.
All this is done in advance before a Client enters the room. Once the Client is ready for the session, they are asked to lie down on the bed and to begin to relax. The Client always remains fully dressed for the duration of the session. To keep the Client warm and comfortable, a Towel is placed over them. While they are getting ready to settle into a relaxed state, their body is also smudged with a sage stick. Then Lavender essential oil is applied to the temples and forehead.
The Client is then asked to begin to breathe deeply and allow the body to begin to relax, while listening to the Therapist’s words, which guide them into their chosen guided meditation.
Mid-way into the session, the Client is left to enjoy the deep relaxed state they are in, and the body is allowed to heal and restore, while taking in all the benefits of the aromatherapy candles, essential oil, and solfeggio frequencies.
At the end of the session, the Client is gently woken up by progressively moving parts of the body, i.e. wriggling toes and fingers, and gently opening the eyes. They are asked to bring their awareness back to the room/space and back to the body. Once they are back in an awakened state, they are allowed to sit up.
